Tierney began her work at the Cherry Hill Public Library in 2008 as a Reference Librarian, and since 2016 has served as Reference & Adult Services Supervisor. She holds a BA in English from The College of New Jersey and a Masters in Library Science from Indiana University, Bloomington. She is professionally focused on sustainability and the environment, mental health awareness, and feminism in literature.

Josh began his work at CHPL in 2018, first as an intern in the Adult Services Department, then as a Library Assistant in Tech Services, and currently as a Reference & Adult Services Librarian. He holds a BA in English from Montclair State University and an MLIS in Information & Library Science from Clarion University. He is professionally focused on Mental Health awareness and social media marketing, and he facilitates a variety of programming including book clubs and the Library’s Writers’ Roundtable. His reading interests include Sci-Fi & Fantasy as well as speculative fiction.

Michelle joined the Cherry Hill Public Library team in 2007 where she focused on Youth Services. In 2014, Michelle was the recipient of NJLA’s Amy Job Partnership Award for her work in facilitating a strong partnership between the Library and the Cherry Hill Public School District. Now Michelle can be found in the Adult Services Department where she concentrates on promoting equity and inclusion and looks for new ways to connect the community and the Library. Michelle holds a BA in English Literature from Rowan University and a Master of Library and Information Science from Rutgers University. Michelle’s favorite genres are narrative non-fiction and personal memoirs.

Erica holds a BA in Music from Rowan University and a Masters in Library and Information Science from Rutgers, New Brunswick. In the library world, she has worked as Medical University Librarian, a School Librarian and now, her favorite, as a Public Librarian. Erica coordinates the computer/technology classes for adults and welcomes suggestions for future classes.

Claire joined the Adult Services department in early 2015. She holds a BA in History from William and Mary, an MA in American History from Rutgers University-Camden, and an MLIS from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Claire has enriched the Adult Services department with her creation of our Adult Summer Reading Program, Seed Library, and Veteran’s Wall of Honor photography exhibit. In her free time, Claire knits complicated sweaters, plays open-world video games, and watches horror movies. If you have questions about history or genealogical research, or if you want book recommendations (especially literary fiction and horror), Claire is the person to visit at the Reference Desk.

Elby holds her MA in Education from the University of Kansas and MS in Library Science from Clarion University. In 2018, Elby was the recipient of the 2018 New Jersey Library Association’s Rising Star Award for her work toward creating our beloved ESOL learning program. In the same year, Elby and her hard-working volunteer ESOL instructors were named the recipients of the NJLA Service award for their exceptional service to a New Jersey library. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Rowan University and a Master of Library and Information Science degree from Clarion University. Amanda manages and coordinates various programs at the Cherry Hill Public Library including our monthly book club and Comic Con. Joan joined the CHPL Adult Services staff part-time in summer, 2021, having retired from 15+ years as Business Services Librarian at the Burlington County Library System. Her expertise includes training, business research and “lean” business tools. She was named a Library Journal Mover & Shaker in 2017. Joan’s prior career was in the private sector in corporate library management, market research and competitive intelligence.
She enjoys rowing, hiking, dancing, volunteering, plus having fun with friends and family.

During her time at the Cherry Hill Public Library, Kim has worked as a part-time librarian both in Youth Services and Reference. When she is not at her full-time job as the school library media specialist at Sharp Elementary School, she likes to travel, walk and eat out at fun restaurants. She particularly likes elevated bar food! A former resident of the Commonwealth of Virginia, she misses her mountains, but does appreciate being close to the beaches of South Jersey. She also likes the wonderful museums in Philadelphia. She roots for the Eagles when she is not rooting for The Washington Football Team!

Kristin began working at Cherry Hill Public Library in Adult Services in 2004. Since 2006 she has worked in the Youth Services department as well, running many children’s story times per month. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Drexel University and a Master of Library and Information Science from Rutgers University. Kristin coordinates the Needlework Guild meetings at the library in addition to story times. She especially enjoys Readers’ Advisory and matching people up with the right book.
