Donate Books
Donations of new or gently used books and other materials are accepted at our side entrance (closer to Friendship Grove). Donations can be dropped off Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Please do not bring in materials through the Main Entrance. There is a cart with bins at the side entrance for your donations. If there is inclement weather, the cart will be inside. Please ring the doorbell to the left of the side entrance doors and a staff member or volunteer will accept your donations.
Items we DO accept:
- Books for all ages
- CDs
- DVDs
- Audio Books
- Vinyl
- Puzzles
We appreciate all donations. Donated books are either added to our library collections or sold at book sales. Book donations should be of good quality, clean, and without need for repair.
Items we DO NOT accept:
- Text books
- Dictionaries
- Encyclopedias
- Outdated reference books
- Magazines
- Torn or destroyed items
- Books with water damage, mold, or mildew
Please drop off books in boxes, bins, or bags that do not need returning. Volunteers are not always in the building ready to sort books.
Receipts for donations are available; don’t forget to ask for one! Thank you for thinking of the Cherry Hill Public Library!
