Fundraising Events at CHPL


Book Sales

Upcoming Book Sale: Monday, July 26 – Saturday, July 31 in the Conference Center and Multicultural Room, Lower Level
Hours: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Monday and Wednesday nights until 7 p.m.
Saturday Special: $5 bag of books

Masks & social distancing required. Limited number of shoppers allowed in shopping area at a time. Cash preferred, credit cards accepted.

General Book Sale Prices:

  • Hardbacks - $2.00
  • Paperbacks - $1.00
  • Music and Audio Books - $2.00
  • DVDs - $2.00
  • Records – 2 for $1.00

Donations

Books: Donations of books and other materials are accepted at our side entrance (closer to Friendship Grove). Donations can be dropped off Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Please do not bring in materials through the Main Entrance. All donations will be quarantined. Acceptable items include: books for all ages, CDs, DVDs, audio books, and puzzles. 

Jewelry & Accessories: Bracelets, earrings, necklaces, rings, watches, scarves, handbags, and wallets. Drop off donations at CHPL during business hours.

T-Shirt Design Contest - Support the Library!

Congratulations to the CHPL T-Shirt Design Contest winners! Thank you to all who entered - there were many great designs.

Now it is time to show your love of CHPL and buy a shirt. Every shirt purchased provides needed funds to the library. (Adult and kid sizes available.)

Max S. Bass Memorial Collection

As part of the CHPL Summer Reading Program, two exciting events are scheduled in memory of Max  S. Bass, father of former Mayor of Cherry Hill and CHPL Board of Trustees member Susan Bass Levin.

Be a Famous Artist!*
Monday, July 19
6 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Join us under the big tent for a kids painting class inspired by artists featured in the Who Was biography book series. Participants will get all materials provided to paint a canvas with guidance by an artist from Spotted Frog Studios. This program is made possible by the Max S. Bass Memorial Fund. Grades 3-5. Registration required and space is limited. Friendship Grove. Registration will open in June.

Be a Famous Singer!*
Wednesday, July 21
6 p.m.  – 7:30 p.m.

Join us under the big tent for a kids karaoke event inspired by singers featured in the Who Was biography book series. Sing your heart out to songs from Songbird’s Mobile Karaoke Unit with a selection of 35,000 songs. This program is made possible by the Max S. Bass Memorial Fund. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. Grades K-12. Registration required and space is limited. Friendship Grove. Registration will open in June.

Outdoor Pet Expo & Pet Supplies Collection
Saturday, July 17
1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Open to ALL Pet Lovers! Visit and shop our Pet Expo. You can find everything you need to know or purchase for a happier, healthier pet. This event will take place outside in Friendship Grove. Donations of new or gently used pet supplies will be accepted and donated to Voorhees Animal Orphanage.

Masks and social distancing are mandatory.
