Tumblebooks
TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books that have been created from existing picture books from well-known publishers and authors, and converted into an accessible digital format.

Youth Services Book-Match
Children and Teens are invited to fill out an online form to get book recommendations from one of our Youth Services Librarians!
Based on your answers, a librarian will compile a list of books just for you and place three of those titles on hold for you (if you would like them to). Once your books are ready for pick up, you’ll receive a notification.
This service is free, confidential, and requires a library card. Need to renew or create a library card? Email our Supervisor of Circulation at jharmon@chplnj.org

Anti – Racism Resources
Talking about race can be challenging.
Our Anti-Racism Resource Guide contains literature and other digital resources for children, their caregivers, and educators to help promote empathy and social justice.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten
1000 Books Before Kindergarten is an ongoing early literacy program which encourages families with children ages 0 to 5 to read to their children every day. The concept is simple and the rewards are priceless! Visit our 1000 Books page for more information and sign your child up in person or print out an application online and turn it in to the Youth Services desk. You will need a CHPL library card to register.
