Memory Bags
Our memory bags are designed specifically for people with dementia and their care partners. They draw on reminiscence therapy techniques which have been shown to improve memory recall and reduce agitation. Each bag is themed and contains activities or items relating to movies, music, games and art. Activity bags encourage short excursions out of the house to local places of interest or nature trails. Music bags include titles and albums from different eras and cover styles of music from the 1940s to the 1970s. Movie bags contain DVDs of various cinematic classics of the 40’s to the 70’s.
Bags can be borrowed for up to three (3) weeks, renewed if needed, and placed on hold. For more information, please speak to someone at the Reference Desk in person or by calling (856) 667-0300 option 2.
