Teens: Grades 6-12
Log reading, write book reviews, attend programs, and complete missions for a chance to win one of our grand prizes! Random participants will also be chosen throughout the program to win surprizes.
Registration opens on Monday, December 12!
Who can participate in the Teen Winter Reading Program?
Cherry Hill teens in grades 6-12 with a Cherry Hill Public Library card can register for our Winter Reading Program. Starting Monday, December 12, you can register for the program at chplnj.readsquared.com.
What if I don’t have a library card?
If you don’t have your own Cherry Hill Library Card, you can use a family member’s card to register. If you live in Cherry Hill and/or attend a school located in Cherry Hill, you are eligible to sign up for a free library card. Teens under 14 years old must have a parent co-sign their application. Visit our “Get a Library Card” Page to find out more.
How does the program work?
From Monday, December 12 through Monday, January 30, participants can complete various activities to earn points which can be spent on raffle tickets for one of our grand prizes. Below are all the ways points can be earned:
- Log minutes spent reading
- Write book reviews (reviews are moderated weekly and only thoughtful reviews will be accepted. Basic rules of grammar and syntax apply).
- Log event codes from teen programs
- Complete fun missions through ReadSquared!
What kind of books can I read?
You can read whatever you’d like! Since you’re logging minutes, any time spent reading counts. So all the time you spend reading books, listening to audiobooks, and even reading magazines and school textbooks count!
I just did summer reading at CHPL. Can I use the same Readsquared account?
You sure can! If you remember your login, you can sign into Readsquared and enroll in the Winter Reading Program. If you forgot your password, you can recover it here. If you’re still having trouble, email us at email@example.com.
But I have more questions!
Ok, ok! Just email our Teen Department at firstname.lastname@example.org and one of our teen staff members will get back to you.
