Summer Volunteering
In an abundance of caution during the COVID-19 crisis, we are suspending the application process for Summer 2020 Volunteers. We do not anticipate being able to accommodate new teen volunteers this summer.

Teens Can Still Volunteer From Home!
  • Submit to our Quaranzine - Submit your stories, poetry, and artwork to mbrinn@chplnj.org to be published in a digital newsletter! Each accepted entry will be counted as 1 hour of community service.
  • Attend A Virtual Meetup - Keep checking our Events Calendar and For Teens From Home page for virtual meetups. Follow us on Instagram @chplteens for important announcements.

Visit our Teen Volunteers page for the most up to date information.

Children's and Young Adult Materials are fine free as of November 1st, 2018!
We are very excited to implement this positive change for our patrons, especially our younger ones! We encourage parents and caregivers to teach children that a public library is a community resource shared by everyone and that returning materials on time is all about sharing responsibly!

Any past late fees will remain on your account. Please visit a library service desk for payment so you can take advantage of our new fine free lending!
Any items checked out before November will still accrue late fees (even if the due date is after November 1).

While a majority of items will become fine free, certain special collection items will still accrue late fees such as (but not limited to):

If you have any questions or concerns about this new policy, either stop by the Youth Services Desk or call the Youth Service Department at (856) 903-1229.
