Adult Volunteers are needed year round to help with specially scheduled library events, as well as many positions throughout the Library. NEW! Teen Community Service Power Hours

Attend these drop-in sessions to earn volunteer credit and help the Youth Services Department with a variety of projects and tasks. Open to grades 6-12. Register here

Thursday, January 4, 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. Registration will open on December 15th.


CHPL Teen Ambassadors
This new group was formed to involve teens (7th -12th grade) in the Library. Their mission is to support and positively impact the Cherry Hill Public Library through fundraising, mentoring and advocating for CHPL.

CHPL Teen Ambassadors meet monthly in addition to assisting with various events throughout the year.

Some of the Ambassador projects are:

  • Help plan and execute fundraising events for the Library.
  • Volunteer at a number of different library events.
  • Be an advocate for the Library in your schools and communities (social media).
  • Read with children in the Book Buddies program
  • Assist with craft preparation for children's events
  • Make & Take crafts - and more!

Teen Shelf Managers
We are in need of detail-oriented teen volunteers (grades 6-12) to help keep our shelves organized and tidy and in the Youth Services Department!

All Shelf Managers are required to attend one training session where they will learn how sign up for shifts and how to organize books. Our next training session is on Tuesday, January 30 from 7 p.m. - 8 :30 p.m. Register here
